The MTSB brought the sounds of Duke Ellington to the home opener in Paul Brown Tiger Stadium on Friday, September 9, 2016.  To the delight of the crowd, the band performed three Ellington standards:

The Massillon Tiger Swing Band performed at the Buckeye Invitational on October 3, 2015.  This event, hosted by the Ohio State University Marching Band, and held at Ohio Stadium featured bands from thirty-eight high schools across Ohio.  The invitational is an OMEA Adjudicated Event for those bands who participate in contest,  and those bands with…

The Thursday night football game against GlenOak gave the Massillon Tiger Swing Band the opportunity for a little #tbt (throwback Thursday) action of their own. This halftime performance featured a recreation of the 64 member “Bird Band” – the same band configuration and show as marched upon the arrival of George “Red” Bird in 1938….

The Massillon Tigers opened the 2015 season against Perry High School on Thursday night, August 27.  The MTSB took that opportunity to debut the 2015 “Dixieland” show!  This show featured songs from the birthplace of Dixie – New Orleans – as well as points south: Enjoy the show!

Mr. Nussbaum had a wager with the 6th Grade Band. He bet that the group would not work all the way through their methods book by the end of the school year.  Mr. Nussbaum lost that bet, and on the last day of school, he paid up:
