McCullough to “Dot the I”
Never in the history of The Ohio State University Marching Band has someone from Massillon “dotted the i” during the incomparable “Script Ohio”. That changes on Saturday, September 22!! MTSB alumnus Dan McCullough will have the honor of dotting the i during halftime of Ohio State’s game against Tulane in Columbus.

Dan was a four-year member of the MTSB and served as drum major from 2011-2013. He was named “Outstanding Senior Boy” in 2014. Upon graduation from WHS, he attended The Ohio State University earning a bachelor’s degree in Middle Childhood Education. Starting on the drum major line (where he got the nickname “D-Row Dan”) McCullough switched to sousaphone in 2016.
Tradition says that each time the band performs Script Ohio, a different fourth- or fifth-year sousaphone is selected to dot the i. Dan is taking advantage of his final year of eligibility to march with the band, and was chosen to perform during the 50th TBDBITL Alumni Reunion, where hundreds of Ohio State Marching Band alumni will return to take the field.
Congratulations, Dan!
